Snowflake Goodie Bag

Finished Bag

Christmas time is my favorite time of the year. I am always finding ways to give gifts to those I love that are different then just going to the store and buying them. Here I made this cute little bag to hold yummy chocolate cookies.

After cutting the template out I stamped all over it with snowflake stamps in different sizes.

Next I wanted the snowflakes to stand out more so I decided to use glitter. I used a needle nose bottle filled with clear glue and made tiny dots where I wanted the glitter to be. Sprinkled glitter over top of dots of glue. Using a magnify glass light I found it was easier to see the fine detail of the flakes for placing the glue dots.

I cut a mirror image of my bag for the lining out of patterned paper. Cut a piece of acetate for the window and attached with sticky tape. I sewed around the bag using a thick thread. Then I sewed on beads along the front.

Finished Bag

Cut out poinsettias and topped them with beads.
I made a small tag by cutting the same shape from both the card stock and the patterned paper. Glued them together of center so the other edge showed. stamped a snowflake and embossed like the bag. Punched a hole in the corner for hanging. Cut holes for ribbon and tied in a bow.
